Model making is my hobby ever since I remember. I made my first kit when
I was 8 – well actually my dad made most of it, but I really enjoyed watching that
little construction as it grew piece by piece. I understand that most people regard my
hobby as a childish play for a grown up
boys. But they are far from truth. I believe it is a very creative pastime. In my blog I would like to prove that model
making is an extraordinary art of depicting reality in scale.
It combines elements of carving, painting as well as many technical areas. Moreover it is a passion which helps developing spatial imagination, sharpens patience, willfulness and trains manual skills. Due to fact that most of my modeling objects are historic airplanes, ships, or antique cars and motorcycles – my hobby draws me near to their history.
I also familiarize with the technological development across the ages thanks to collecting reference material for miniatures I create.
My aim is to reveal to the readers of my blog the craftsmanship and beauty of miniaturizing.
